Hollister Hills State Vehicular Recreation Area offers off-highway use for motorcycles, four-wheelers and ATVs in the Gabilan Mountains, an hour from San Jose, California. Park elevation ranges from 660 to 2,425 ft.

Hollister Hills is split into two areas, the Upper Ranch and the Lower Ranch.

The Upper Ranch[edit]

This 800-acre area, which has about 24 miles of trails, is used for four-wheel drive recreation and for four-wheel drive and motorcycle special events; a fenced in motocross track is also located here. The terrain is mixed chaparral, oak woodlands and grasslands facility.

The Upper Ranch is open for daytime use only between sunrise and sunset. There is a campground, Sychamore, which accomidates about 60 people, with water and flush toilets.

The Lower Ranch[edit]

This 2400-acre area, set aside for motorcycle and ATV use only, has about 64 miles of trails and several hillclimbs. There are also two picnic areas, a practice motocross track, an ATV track, a TT track, a mini-bike trail, and a mini-track. Riding is allowed from sunrise to sunset.

Some areas may close during wet weather.
