Schubarth road, begins at Rampart Range. travel down Schubarth rd into a coldisack, continue straight though private property while being curtious. continue down schubarth, on the right will be an open veiw of Pikes Peak. jFurther down Schubarth rd you will find several camping areas, the road will fork, stick left onto 313. and continue down the road, it will get very rough and very narrow. when the road forks again, take the right into an opening that overlooks the Academey.
08/10/09 Schubarth Rd. – (Rating 5) We took the 307a road and it did steep with having to come back out the same way you went in. A shorter wheel base Jeep had some trouble getting back up the rut that you come down but going to the driver side made it up. With a longer wheel base we made it up very easy.
Directions
From Mount Herman Road, turn south onto Rampart Range and turn left onto Schubarth road.
From Woodland Park, on I-24 turn right (from Colorado Springs) onto Baldwin st just before McDonalds. Baldwin becomes Rampart Range, take a right onto Loy Creek and continue up hill untill you come to a 4-way stop. Continue straight right onto Schubarth rd.
